I graduated Kendall College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I spent my time at Kendall honing in on my digital art skills, focusing on storyboarding, concept development, digital painting and illustration, and a bit of graphic design and book layout.
I worked on my own projects both in and outside of school, namely my current project which looks at female sexuality and the female body. I would like to develop this concept further into including textiles which I could create clothing or accessories out of.
Some things besides art that I like to do are explore outside, listen to music, binge Netflix and YouTube shows, and drink way too much coffee. I’ve moved to Portland, Oregon to seek new opprotunties.
About the Artist
Growing up in Grand Rapids, MI I discovered my love for art early on. As a child I would spend my days locked in my own imaginative world with a marker or crayon in my hand. I drew and drew, practiced and practiced, and because of this hard work, I have turned something that came naturally to me into a career. I am not only an artist. I consider myself a thinker. I am greatly influenced by politics and the state of the world in my art. I am inspired by gender and grammar, philosophy and humor. I am a thinker who uses art as my speech.
